Raa Raa the Noisy Lion

Combining stop frame animation with a touch of computer-generated imagery (CGI), Raa Raa the Noisy Lion follows a group of animals and their colourful adventures through the Jingly Jangly Jungle.

The show was produced by Chapman Entertainment and first broadcast in May 2011 on CBeebies, running for a total of 52 episodes across two series.

The series is narrated by one of the nation’s favourite broadcasters, Lorraine Kelly, and features fun characters such as Huffy the Elephant, Topsy the Giraffe, Crocky the Crocodile, Zebby the Zebra and Ooo Ooo the Monkey.

Aimed at pre-school aged children, the show was developed with speech and language experts to help viewers develop their communications skills through the use of Raa Raa’s ‘4 Rs’: Repetition, Rhythm, Rhyme and Retelling.

Also featuring a variety of pro-social messages like co-operation, joint problem-solving and appropriate behaviour, the series has become a firm favourite with children and parents alike.
