Factory’s Norman Picklestripes receives two daytime Emmy Award nominations

Today, BAFTA-award winning animation studio, Factory is delighted to announce that it has received two nominations from the Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards for its work on the NBC Universal Kids series Norman Picklestripes.

The two nominations, Outstanding Preschool Children’s Animated Series and Outstanding Directing For A Preschool Animated Program, will form part of 47th Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards which will be presented in a two-hour special on Friday, June 26 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

From Emmy-winning executive producers Alex Rockwell (Word Party, Pajanimals) and Judy Rothman Rofé (Julie’s Greenroom, Madeline) Norman Picklestripes follows the comedic adventures of Plywood Forest’s can-do handyman, Norm, whose mission is to make the forest a harmonious, peaceful place free of leaky maple trees and loud possum parties.

The show was produced in stop motion by multi-genre animation studio Factory where it was directed by Geoff Walker (Scream Street, Strange Hill High, Bob the Builder) and Chris Sadler (Shaun The Sheep, Chicken Run, The Angry Birds Movie).

Original Broadway-inspired songs are also featured in each episode, with Emmy-winning Jeffrey Zahn serving as the series Music Supervisor.  Norman Picklestripes celebrates the great outdoors and proves that when you work together, anything is possible!

On the award nominations, Managing Director of Factory and Executive Producer of Norman Pickstripes, Phil Chalk said: “We are absolutely thrilled that Noman Picklestripes is continuing to receive the recognition it deserves, with not one but two international Emmy nominations.
